Tek-ture

Challenge

The main challenge was recreating Tek-ture's intricate design elements without compromising user-friendliness. Balancing visual complexity with responsiveness across various devices was a key obstacle to overcome.

Tek-ture

Design process

To address the challenge, I:

  • Analyzed the original design to understand its unique elements.

  • Rebuilt the layout with modern web development practices for accuracy.

  • Enhanced responsiveness by testing across breakpoints and devices.

  • Optimized performance for high-resolution visuals and animations.

This ensured the final product reflected Tek-ture’s essence while improving usability.

Tek-ture

Final result

The completed website successfully preserved Tek-ture’s modern aesthetic while offering a more streamlined user experience. It now performs consistently across devices, combining visual impact with ease of use. This project exemplified how design and functionality can work hand in hand to create a high-quality web presence.

Hampus was my UX Upskill student in the Field Work & Experimentation modules at Hyper Island, and we met online weekly for three months. He was a brilliant class rep, super proactive, organised, and always full of humour.
I'd trust him with any task, as he requires minimal support, and I look forward to following his UX career.

UX Design is dead - long live UX Design

UX Design is dead - long live UX Design

The rise of AI has sparked a lot of fear in the design industry and other creative fields, and UX design is no exception. Will AI replace designers? The short answer: no. But the long answer? Designers who don’t embrace AI might find themselves replaced by those who do.
